My story
It was October, 2004. My daughter's wedding day was scheduled for the end of May, 2005. As I began to think more about her wedding day, I realized that "pictures will be taken" and I knew I would always look at those pictures and instead of thinking "What a wonderful day that was, I was SO happy." I would think "I was fat. I hated that dress."
I made a decision to lose weight before the wedding.
I paid attention to my portion sizes and every morning at 7:00, I drove out to my local indoor mall and walked around and around and around for an hour.
As I walked, I did a lot of thinking about how I had gotten to the point of needing to lose weight, and how I was going to keep it off once I had gotten it off.
I began to realize that the hardest thing I had to do was to change my thinking. I learned to value my body and my health, and to encourage myself for every single positive step forward.
Looking back over that period of time, I was surprised to admit that it hadn't been that hard. It just took time.
I was focused and I had a priority. There was no reason I couldn't lose weight, and so I did.
Our bodies are subject to the laws of physics, and if we eat less and move more, over time, we WILL lose weight.
The trick is to get to the place where you WANT to eat less and move more.
I can help you get there.
